The Indonesian police have been sent to Timika where the Indonesian military and police are currently engaged in a crackdown with reports of at least one West Papuan house being already burned down.

We urge everyone to please keep an eye out on the situation in West Papua which is becoming a crisis zone with more and more reports of brutal human rights violations being committed by the Indonesian military and police on a daily basis.
